Haiden Cowan attends Dirt Track World Championship; Gavin Cowan competes in NASCAR weekend
The Cowan brothers went different directions on Friday afternoon as Haiden Cowan made the haul to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Dirt Track World Championship while Gavin Cowan
checked into Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for NASCAR weekend.
Haiden finished fifth in a heat race and was slated for a B-Main on Saturday. Cowan did not make up enough spots to make the $100,000-to-win finale.
Gavin made both feature events with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series, finishing 12th in the Jerry Goodwin Challenge before a 18th-place outing in the Red Farmer Tribute.
