Third-place finish for Haiden Cowan at Eldora Speedway; Gavin Cowan earns Top-10 at Cherokee
Haiden Cowan kicked off his busy Labor Day weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Hillbilly Hundred while Gavin Cowan competed in a single event at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday evening with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series.
Haiden did not make either show on Friday or Saturday after finishing outside of a transfer position in his last chance races. Gavin qualified third-fastest in his group and ran seventh in the $5,000-to-win Hall of Fame race on Sunday.
Haiden closed out the holiday weekend with a strong podium finish at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) in the second Baltes Classic split feature. Cowan started from 16th and stormed his way to the front and landed on the podium in third. He trailed Kyle Bronson and Tanner English while Jimmy Owens and Frank Heckenast Jr. completed the Top-5.
